The top FOUR Arkansas point earners plus all national qualifiers will represent Arkansas at the Ford
AQHYA World Show in Oklahoma City, OK, August 5-12, 2011.

Arkansas qualifying points are earned at the March, April and May shows. If there are at least 9 entries in a class, first
place will receive 9 points, second place 8 points and so on PER JUDGE. If there are less than nine entries in a class,
the points are scaled down accordingly. EX: five entries in the class, first place receives 5 points, second place 4
points and so on. Please see website approximately two weeks after each show for updated points results.

Novice Youth classes do not count towards qualifying.

We will count your best 10 of 12 judges’ scores. You will drop your two lowest scores at the end of qualifying. Ties are
broken by most number of firsts, then most number of seconds and so on.

Each STATE qualified youth can only participate in 3 classes per horse at the Youth World. National qualifiers can
participate in more.

You must join Arkansas QHA Youth. This is a separate membership from the ARQHA family membership and costs $10
per year. You must join ARQHYA for your points to count towards qualifying.

Please fill out a LETTER OF INTENT and turn it in to the youth advisor by April 30.  This tells us which classes you
intend to qualify in.

Participate in 2 fundraisers at the Arkansas QHA shows. This funds all of our tack stalls, hospitality for the entire youth
world show, stall decorating, scrapbook, t-shirts, etc.
Our fundraisers for 2011 are:
  • Weinie Roast/Tshirt sales at the March Show
  • Stall Raffle at the March and April Show
  • Pancake Breakfast at the March and April Show
  • Youth Fish Fry/Silent Auction at the May show
  • Work assignments at Arkansas QHA shows if you miss other fundraising opportunities
