| The ARQHA Year-end Awards Banquet was held on January 21, 2012 at the Agora Conference & Special Events Center in Conway. Awards were given for the Top 6 placing in each event. All-around and High Point awards were also presented. Open All- Around was RR All In owned by Caylin Ford and exhibited by Kyle Smith. Reserve was Lazi Daisy owned and exhibited by Andrea Turnbull. Amateur All-Around was Hayley Saul riding Eyed Be In A Jam, Reserve was Andrea Turnbull with Lazi Daisy. Youth All-Around was won by Courtney Hunter and her sorrel gelding Talkin Too Sweet. Reserve was Caitlin Moran and RL A Sudden Kiss. Novice Amateur High Point was Hannah Longing with Just Give Me Cash. Hannah was also Reserve Novice Amateur with her horse A Impulse Machine. Novice Youth High Point was Anna Claire Hunter riding Heza Skippin Jack and Reserve was Lensey Watson with RW Leep Four Wood. Select Amateur High Point was Laura Honeycutt exhibiting her gray mare Ima Special Notion. Small Fry High Point was Sidney Dunham and her sorrel gelding EBG Classic Creation. EBG celebrated his 25th birthday this year. Reserve was Cameron Blankenship and his bay mare Justa Hotrods Belle. Belle celebrated her 18th birthday this year. Hope these kids have the same luck with their next mount!! Kudos to all these exhibitors for their hard work! The ArQHA March show will be co-sanctioned with Fisher Entertainment on March 29 – April 1 in Tunica, MS and will have 6 judges. This show will count for Youth World qualifying and year end points. The show bill and information on stall and RV reservations can be found on the website at www.arkansasquarterhorse.com. The Team Penning and Ranch Sorting that is held in conjunction with this show will be held at No Name Arena in Bryant Arkansas on March 24. The April Jamboree will be held on April 20 – 22 in Pine Bluff. The Memorial Day circuit will be held on May 25 – 28 in Pine Bluff. Stay tuned to the website for show bills. The AQHA Regional Championship show for Region 9 will be held on March 22-25, 2012 at Ike Hamilton Arena in West Monroe, Louisiana. The show bill and entry form is on our website.
