The annual Memorial Day Circuit brought many out-of-state horse
exhibitors to Pine Bluff.  The crowd was good and so were the horses.
There was an exceptional amount of competition in nearly all of our classes.
Part of the event was the 5th Annual Stanford Memorial Happening.

Winner of the Walk-Trot (11 and over) saddle was Brent Dorn on
Excellent Machine.  Reserve Champion was Judy Matthews on Consider My
Version.  Third place winner was Casey George on Protect My Assets and
fourth place honors went to Laura Whitfield and Outrageous Potential.
Winner of the buckle in the Stanford Non-Pro was Denny Strickland and
Hope By Invitation.  Reserve winner was Angel Until Dark and Lindsey
McMullen.  Megan McMullen and Huntin For Money was third.  Blake
Plemmons and Been Bar Hoppin finished out the top four.  The highest
Arkansas placing exhibitor was awarded a Stanford stool.  Denny Strickland
also earned this award.

Winner of the buckle in the Stanford 3-Year-Old was Andy Cochran
and Sleepin In The Rain owned by Tammy Dyer.  Reserve was Andrew
Sharp and Angel Until Dark owned by John McMullen.  Robert Holland and
Hotter N Blue Blazes was the highest placing Arkansas exhibitor in the class
and won a Stanford stool.

Buckles and medallions were given in most pleasure events.  Thanks
to Gil and Patti Brown for donating these.  Circuit awards were presented to
the circuit champion in all classes.  Winners of the high point/all-around
awards for the week-end were as follows:

Amateur – Randi Stanley and Ima Special Notion
Select – Judy Matthews and Consider My Version
Youth – Wren Myers and McZippo
Novice Amateur – Tara Goodson and Kats Invitation
Novice Youth – Haden Garrett and Topnotch Interest

Thanks to Jessica Matthews and Trailer Country for donating the use
of a trailer for one-year.  Drawings were held all week-end.  As the Top Five
tried their keys, Maggie Kerola was the lucky winner.

This weekend also brought an end to the qualifying period for places
